CARY MATHEWS Singer Songwriter, Guitar, Blues Harp Cary Mathews has been creating music and songwriting since she had a fake ID at age 16 so she could play in local Cleveland bars of the past such as The Grapes of Wrath, Farraghers, and the very first Peabody’s Café. She went on to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston and returned to Cleveland where she performed in a Jazz Fusion Band with the legendary Ralph Jackson. Cary was open to all genres of music and was a rhythm guitarist and vocalist for The Kosmic Kowboy Band, a southern rock band in the 80’s. Over the years she continued to write original music and lyrics. The Dissidents were invited by Phil Keaggy of Glass Harp to open for them during two night sold out shows at the Music Box.
